Are the guides free, or do I have to give my details?

Free, and nothing is gated. There is no email requirement to read anything in this section. The quote request form exists separately for people who want a specification against their own building.

They come out of the questions asked during site assessments and installations, written by the people doing that work rather than by a content agency working from a keyword list. That is why they focus on decisions and constraints rather than product features.

Why do the cost guides not include prices?

Because a price without a building attached is misleading. The same nominal room in an accessible warehouse and in a downtown basement with stair access are different projects with different numbers. The guides explain what moves the figure so you can read a real quote critically. For an actual number, send us the space.

Can I use these guides to brief another supplier?

Yes. They are written to make you a better-informed buyer, and that is useful whoever you end up purchasing from. If you want a second opinion on a quote you have received, send it across and we will tell you where the scopes genuinely differ.

How often is new material published?

Guides are added as topics come up repeatedly on live projects rather than to a publishing schedule. If a question keeps costing operators money, it eventually gets written up.

Do the guides apply outside Ontario?

The physics does. The context does not always — building stock, seasonal temperature swings, loading restrictions, permit processes and inspection practice are all local. The guides are written with Ontario conditions in mind, which is where the practical detail is most reliable.

I have a question that is not covered anywhere. What do I do?

Send it. Email greenscoolers@gmail.com or call (437) 922-5326 and ask directly. Specific questions from real sites are where most of this material originates. You will get an answer whether or not there is a project behind the question.

Should I read the guides or just book an assessment?

Do both, in that order if you have time. Reading first means the assessment conversation starts further along and you can challenge the recommendation properly. If the situation is urgent — a failed unit, a lease deadline — skip straight to the quote request and read afterwards.
