Delivery logistics
Delivery is where projects go wrong quietly. Panels arrive flat and are assembled on site, so the constraint is almost never the panel — it is the route. The narrowest doorway, the tightest stair turn, a passenger lift, a loading dock with restricted hours, a laneway that will not take the truck the panels are on.
All of that is walked and recorded before a delivery date is offered. Where the route will not pass a full-size panel, the build is specified in sections during design rather than improvised on the day. Where access hours are restricted — common on retail plazas and in downtown Toronto — the delivery window is set around them and the staging area for panels is agreed in advance so nothing is left blocking a fire route or a customer entrance.
Installation on site
Installation is carried out by the crew working from the same measurements the quote was built on. Panels are assembled, doors hung and adjusted, the floor detail and any ramp set, and the refrigeration mounted and connected — top-mount, side-mount or remote depending on what was specified. On occupied sites the work is scheduled around trading. Overnight and early-morning installations are normal for grocery, convenience and food service operators, and multi-room projects are phased so there is always working cold storage available. Where an existing room is coming out first, the sequence is planned under cooler replacement and upgrades, including product protection and removal of the old installation.

A cold room needs a supply at the right location with appropriate isolation, and a drainage route for condensate and defrost water that will not freeze or back up. Electrical work is carried out by a qualified electrical contractor and coordinated into the installation window so the trades are not waiting on each other.
